Project Overview
This project was developed for a private apartment courtyard in South Africa. The client required an outdoor living area that could support cooking, storage and social use within a limited courtyard space.
For the courtyard area, the design concept focused on a modular outdoor kitchen system. Instead of placing separate outdoor appliances across the site, the solution organized grilling, washing, food preparation and storage into one functional outdoor kitchen layout.
Project Challenge
Private apartment courtyards often need to serve multiple purposes, including cooking, family gatherings and daily outdoor relaxation. When the grill, sink, storage cabinets and refrigeration units are arranged separately, the layout can become inefficient and difficult to maintain.
For this South Africa apartment project, the client needed a clean, functional and space-conscious outdoor kitchen solution that could match the modern residential environment while keeping daily use convenient.
Solution
The modular outdoor kitchen system supports free combination of multiple functional modules, including BBQ grill module, sink module, storage cabinet, drawer cabinet, trash cabinet and refrigerator cabinet. The complete layout reaches approximately 4055 mm in length, creating a continuous working zone for cooking, washing, storage and cooling.
This configuration is suitable for courtyard applications because each module can be arranged according to the available site dimensions and user workflow. The white cabinet finish and metal functional modules also support a modern visual style for private apartment and residential landscape projects.
The technical support included customized design and 3D pictures to help confirm the layout before production. Delivery and installation instruction further supported the local project team during installation and module positioning.
Feedback
The client’s feedback focused on layout clarity and functional integration. By combining grilling, washing and storage into one modular system, the courtyard kitchen became easier to use and better connected to the outdoor living area.
