Dai Zhihua, Chairman of Mellow Group, was elected President of Foshan Hunan Chamber of Commerce

On January 17, the 3rd Session of the 2nd General Meeting and Annual Gala of the Foshan Hunan Chamber of Commerce was successfully convened. Nearly 100 chamber members, government representatives from Hunan and Guangdong, sister chambers of commerce, and distinguished guests gathered to review the journey of endeavor and draw up a blueprint for a new chapter.

The general meeting deliberated and adopted the annual work report and financial report, and successfully completed the election of the new leading body. Mr. Dai Zhihua, Chairman of Mellow Group, was elected as the new President.

Since its founding, the Foshan Hunan Chamber of Commerce has gone through 16 years of remarkable development. Starting from the emotional bond among several Hunan-born entrepreneurs, it has now grown into an influential social organization with hundreds of member units. Adhering to the tenet of “Unity, Cooperation, Integrity and Win-Win", the chamber has long been a warm home and strong backing for Hunan merchants in Guangdong.

Over the past 16 years, the chamber has not only helped member enterprises take root and thrive in Foshan, but also actively built an economic and cultural exchange platform between Hunan and Guangdong, promoted industrial connection and resource integration, repaid the hometown with practical actions, and contributed to the development of its second hometown, composing a striving chapter of Hunan merchants on the land of Lingnan.

Upon voting by all members, Mr. Dai Cuhui, Chairman of Hongwang Group and former President, was appointed Honorary President, while Mr. Dai Zhihua, Chairman of Mellow Group, officially took office as the new President.

At the inauguration ceremony, President Dai Zhihua reviewed the 16-year development of the chamber and paid high tribute to Honorary President Dai Cuhui and all colleagues who have devoted their efforts. He stated that taking over the important role of President, he felt deeply honored and shouldered a great mission. He would do his utmost to safeguard the home of Hunan merchants, build a bridge connecting Hunan and Guangdong, perform duties with sincerity, gather strength through hard work, and jointly write new glories for Hunan merchants.

President Dai Zhihua pointed out that in the future, the chamber will focus on three major directions: “deepening member services, expanding opening-up and cooperation, and cultivating a new generation of Hunan merchants". It will continue to empower enterprise growth, boost industrial coordination between Hunan and Guangdong, promote the spirit of Hunan merchants, and achieve high-quality development of the chamber.

At the awarding ceremony, leaders including Mr. Ding Xifeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Foshan Municipal Party Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department, and Mr. Xie Xiaobo, Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government Office in Guangdong, presented the plaque to the new President Dai Zhihua.

Mr. Ding Xifeng, Mr. Wang Wenhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shuangfeng County Committee and County Governor of Hunan Province, Honorary President Dai Cuhui, and Honorary Chairman Mo Bin delivered speeches, expressing earnest expectations for the new council and encouraging the chamber to continue playing its pivotal role to inject stronger impetus into the development of Hunan and Guangdong.

This general meeting is not only a transition of leadership, but also a new starting point for the chamber to build consensus. The newly promoted vice presidents and council members cover intelligent manufacturing, new materials, construction, taxation and financial services and other fields, bringing new vitality and momentum to the chamber.

President Dai Zhihua emphasized that hometown is the root, and Foshan is the home. In the future, the chamber will take regional affection as the bond and responsibility as the mission, unite all members to work hand in hand, and jointly compose a new chapter of win-win cooperation between Hunan and Guangdong and progressive development of the chamber.

Later, the gala dinner was held in a warm and lively atmosphere. Guests present exchanged cordial greetings, discussed cooperation, and looked forward to the broad prospects of Hunan merchants in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

A new journey has set sail; a new chapter awaits our joint writing. Mellow Group will earnestly fulfill its duties, unite all members, continuously promote the construction of the chamber, help Hunan enterprises achieve steady and long-term development in Foshan, and contribute sustained strength to the in-depth integration and high-quality economic and social development of Hunan and Guangdong.
